Dead Cities, Reconsidered

$45.00

Chapbook produced as part of Studio Fellowship Program with the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center. This work includes 7 flash fiction pieces inspired by dystopian climate futures, post-industrial landscapes, and the mundane apocalypse in the Midwest. Each work features a surreal, preposterous future job or role for citizens, such as climate migration greeters on the Michigan border and park rangers of environmental disaster sites like the Centralia Mine Fire in Pennsylvania and the Allied Paper Superfund site in Kalamazoo.

Each story is accompanied by a handset letterpress title page and a linocut print. Cover, cover pages, and colophon also set with letterpress. Handsewn binding.
